Coming in March 2008 mini-safari dive trips to the Brothers Islands
and other southern atolls and islands.
No worries if you do not have the time for a week long dive safari to discover the awesome beauty of the southern dive sites. Available to fit into any holiday schedule is a 2-night live aboard trip to the Brothers dive sites from 225 euros per person Additional trips to the other atolls and islands include: Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island and Zabargad on 2-night/3 days trips from 350 euros per person The Brother Islands are located 32 miles northeast of Al Quseir in the middle of the Red Sea. The two small islands are named 'El Akhawein', which in Arabic means the Brothers. These exposed "islands" are the tips of two massive reef pillars that rise from the sea. The Brothers are the most significant reefs in the area, and as such act as a magnet luring any pelagic and reef fishes. The reefs support an incredible dense and diverse coral population, with overwhelmingly beautiful soft coral growth on all sides. Big Brother, the larger of the two, lies about 1 km north of its sibling. It is easily identified by its Victorian stone lighthouse, a legacy of the British rule.
Besides the incredible underwater life that exists at the Brothers, is the attraction of two wrecks at the site. The first is on the northwest side of Big Brother a wreck that is found at reasonable depth. The bow is in 30 m of water and the rear starts at 40 m. The name of the wreck is 'Aida', a 75 meter long passenger ship, which was used by the Army as a supply ship. During a storm in 1957 the boat sunk but luckily all 157 passengers were rescued. The ship is standing alongside a steep coral wall and is flowered with colorful soft corals. Less than 100 m north to 'the Aida' there is a second and much older wreck in shallower water. This wreck is called 'the railway wreck' or 'the Numidia'. It was an English ship transporting material for railways. The ship sank around 1900 and is fully sheltered with soft corals in all colors. The bow, marked by a collection of strange wheels starts at 9 m. The rest of the wreck is at 15 m and goes on to 40 m, where the hull has been broken. The rear of the boat and the propellor can be found around 80 m. This wreck is known to be one of the most intriguing in the Red Sea.

Trips to the Brothers, Zabargad and Rocky Island require special permission and can be organized for private group charters.
All of the itineraries can be altered due to "weather conditions." When weather conditions are compromising the captain has the right and may cancel a destination if this weather will affect the safety of the guests or the boat. If the conditions are not affecting the vessel but the captain sees that more than 50% of the group are experiencing difficulty such as severe sea sickness; he may change the destination as well. It is our full intention to deliver a memorable, yet safe dive experience.
